As a Customer Engineer (CE) at Cloudflare, you will be the primary driver of our technical go-to-market strategy, acting as a trusted advisor who manages the technical relationship from initial discovery through long-term adoption and account expansion. You will be a quota-carrying technologist, leveraging AI-augmented workflows to minimize administrative tasks and focus on high-value architectural design and achieving measurable business outcomes throughout the customer journey. This role is integral to evolving how we partner with enterprise clients as their solutions scale in architectural complexity.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, build custom architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) across Cloudflare's portfolio.
- Oversee technical onboarding and implementation, serving as the main engineering contact for customers.
- Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid value realization and resolve integration issues.
- Carry a quota for new business acquisition and account growth, focusing on deep platform adoption and revenue retention.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities based on product usage data.
- Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to demonstrate ROI to C-level executives.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, from onboarding to renewal and expansion.
- Utilize AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and sandbox provisioning.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
- Ability to lead technical discovery, build architectures, and deliver product demonstrations.
- Experience with customer onboarding and implementation.
- Commercial accountability and experience with quotas.
- Ability to identify strategic cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Experience leading Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Experience leveraging AI for workflow automation.
