Cloudflare is seeking builders who are passionate about improving the Internet and have a natural curiosity to create solutions using the latest tools, especially AI. This role is for a technologist who enjoys collaborating with innovative companies, particularly startups and cloud-native businesses building the next generation of internet products. You will be a key technical advisor, comfortable engaging with engineers, architects, and CTOs, translating technical concepts, and evangelizing the Cloudflare Developer Platform. This position focuses on understanding customer needs, mapping them to Cloudflare's offerings, and inspiring teams to build on the platform, driving both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for Cloudflare.
- Engage early in the sales cycle, joining discovery calls and embedding with customer teams to qualify opportunities.
- Map customer initiatives and business problems, particularly those related to new product development and AI, to the Cloudflare platform.
- Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts, from engineers to CTOs.
- Develop and present tailored technical content and demos to diverse audiences.
- Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform as the foundation for customers' next products and AI initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role.
- Ability to engage directly with engineering teams and technical founders.
- Fluency in speaking the language of engineers and holding credible technical conversations.
- Deep understanding of the Cloudflare Developer Platform, including Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, and Pages.
- Experience in the cloud-developer vertical.
- A 'builder' personality with a strong mix of pre-sales/technical customer-facing experience.
- Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-moving environment.
