About the job

The Internal Audit (IA) organization is responsible for delivering high-quality, objective, and independent assurance over the Company’s key business risks. The function is evolving towards wider coverage of operational risks and more efficient audit approaches. As a Full Stack Engineer in the Internal Audit Engineering team, you will build applications, platforms, and user interfaces that power our automated assurance strategy. You will partner closely with AI/Data Science engineers and Internal Auditors to develop production-ready internal platforms and automated workflows deployed globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end (full stack) applications to automate control testing and risk monitoring across global infrastructure.
  • Provide hands-on audit support by leveraging data science and advanced analytics for data-driven testing.
  • Build and maintain internal tools and dashboards using Cloudflare’s stack (e.g., Workers, KV, D1, AI Gateway) to solve internal risk and compliance challenges.
  • Integrate LLMs and machine learning pipelines to analyze datasets for anomalies, security misconfigurations, or compliance deviations.
  • Build high availability microservices that pull data from APIs, databases, and production logs for near real-time risk insights.
  • Partner with Data Engineers and data owners to ensure clean, actionable telemetry for internal and continuous auditing.
  • Take full ownership of the application lifecycle, from database schema design and API development to UI implementation and production deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of full stack software engineering experience in a large-scale environment (high-throughput, distributed systems, globally distributed teams).
  • Genuine interest in technology risk management, internal audit methodologies, or engineering compliance frameworks.
  • Strong experience in application development using backend languages like Python, Go, or Node.js.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks like React or TypeScript.
  • Deep understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, API design (REST/GraphQL), and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with Cloudflare Workers, AWS, or GCP is highly preferred.
