The Learning Team at ClickHouse is expanding rapidly, and we're seeking a Technical Curriculum Developer to enhance our hands-on training experience. This role involves accelerating technical content creation by integrating AI-powered tools and agents directly into the learning process. You will be responsible for the infrastructure that supports content releases, certification exams, courses, and learning environments. Additionally, you will spearhead GenAI initiatives to improve content development efficiency and build an AI-powered user experience for our students.
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure supporting Content as Code.
- Ensure new content PRs are thoroughly tested and easy to preview.
- Automate the release of merged PRs.
- Periodically check courses for proper functionality.
- Facilitate easy updates for courses with new features.
- Lead the Learning team's adoption of AI and GenAI.
- Build tools, prompts, and workflows to expedite course creation.
- Design and build AI-powered agents and tools for students.
- Evaluate emerging AI/GenAI capabilities and models.
- Write and maintain provisioning and grading scripts for hands-on certification exams.
- Debug issues affecting learners, instructors, and exam candidates.
- Build and operate observability for learning systems (usage, failures, catalog health, dashboards, alerts).
- Build and operate analytics for user activity across learning tools.
- Design and maintain hands-on lab environments for all training formats.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical curriculum development for databases and/or distributed systems.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical education infrastructure or DevOps role.
- Experience with machine learning applications and/or GenAI focused on content generation, developer tooling, and AI agents.
- 3+ years of experience building certification infrastructure, including grading scripts for hands-on assessments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub.
- Self-motivated with a desire to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing clear runbooks and technical documentation.
- High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
