Chasi is building the future of equipment commerce, helping dealers and rental companies sell faster, respond to customers around the clock, and keep machines in the field. This role is for the founding product engineer, who will own the product by designing the infrastructure, building the product, and handling customer relationships and onboarding. This is a unique opportunity to bring real-world AI to an industry that software has barely touched, working with major OEMs and backed by top investors.
Responsibilities
- Ship production features across the entire platform, including voice agents, workflow automation, memory architecture, and the customer-facing UI.
- Design and build the real-time voice pipeline for sub-second response delivery.
- Evolve the memory system using vector stores for contextually intelligent agent conversations.
- Build integrations for enterprises, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and custom CRM connectors.
- Architect multi-tenant infrastructure that scales from 10 to 10,000 organizations.
- Make direct technical decisions regarding model selection, infrastructure tradeoffs, and build vs. buy strategies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience building production software, ideally full-stack TypeScript/React with backend depth.
- Experience with LLMs beyond the tutorial stage, including prompt engineering, tool use, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Comfort with real-time systems such as WebSockets, streaming, audio pipelines, or telephony infrastructure.
- Strong opinions on architecture, with the ability to make fast tradeoffs based on shipping experience.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, talk to customers, identify product needs, and ship solutions.
- Ownership mentality, suitable for a founding role with significant responsibility.
