As a Software / ML Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with product, data science, and data platform teams to identify, design, and implement applied ML models and infrastructure. This includes model optimization, data pipelines, model training, and serving infrastructure for one of the fastest-growing native AI consumer applications. You will focus on implementing ML backend systems to power discovery surfaces like recommendation, ranking, and search, supporting new AI-generated content formats and optimizing existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify, design, and implement applied ML models and infrastructure.
- Optimize models, data pipelines, and training/serving infrastructure.
- Implement ML backend systems for discovery surfaces (recommendation, ranking, search).
- Support new AI-generated content formats.
- Optimize existing ML systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience building/consuming RESTful and gRPC based web-services.
- Experience building and managing infrastructure in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience writing highly performant services in a modern typed language.
- Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Experience shipping intelligent features end-to-end, from idea to production.
- Experience understanding, designing, or implementing full data pipelines from ingestion to model training.
- Experience with production AI/ML systems and services, including optimizing GPU/TPU deployments.
- Experience working with vector databases or other feature storage.
