We are seeking a Researcher, Models to conduct groundbreaking research in neural network architecture design, focusing on advancing the state-of-the-art in alternative architectures such as state space models and efficient transformers. This role involves designing novel architectures to improve model quality and efficiency, exploring capabilities like long-range memory, and investigating the impact of architectural decisions on scalability and robustness. The researcher will also develop new frameworks for evaluating architectural innovations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct groundbreaking research in neural network architecture design.
- Design novel architectures that improve model quality, inference efficiency, and adaptability.
- Explore and develop capabilities such as statefulness and long-range memory.
- Investigate how architectural decisions impact model trade-offs.
- Develop new frameworks and tools to evaluate architectural innovations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate architectural research into scalable systems.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in architecture design, with experience in researching or deploying advanced architectures.
- Strong understanding of how architectures interact with system constraints.
- Proficiency in designing architectures that balance quality, efficiency, and adaptability.
- Familiarity with generative modeling paradigms and designing capabilities like statefulness and conditioning.
- Proven research track record in top-tier ML/AI venues or demonstrable contributions to state-of-the-art architectures.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong programming skills in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with profiling tools for understanding model performance.
