Campfire is building AI agents to automate the heavy lifting of ERP implementations, cutting them from months to weeks. As a Data Engineer, you will be an architect of the agentic platform at the heart of this effort, responsible for the system that moves customers onto Campfire and keeps their financial data live and in sync. This role is not a traditional data engineering position; you will be building the platform and AI agents themselves, with significant ownership and the opportunity to ship features that directly impact customer implementations and company scaling.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable pipelines to move customer financial data from source systems into Campfire and maintain its flow.
- Ship major features for the AI agent that drives customer implementations, increasing its autonomous capabilities.
- Collaborate with the implementation team to understand customer data, its meaning, and transformation needs, translating these into platform capabilities.
- Contribute to Ember, the shared agent stack for Campfire's AI products, as you grow.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals with experience in Python and NextJS/React.
- Comfort building frameworks and tooling.
- Experience building and operating data pipelines.
- Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered systems is a strong plus.
- Self-driven, autonomous, and capable of managing work and leading projects.
- Comfortable with agility and ambiguity in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
