Bretton AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to collaborate directly with customers, deploying and integrating Bretton's AI platform into their operational environments. This role bridges engineering, customer deployments, and product development, enabling customers to implement Bretton's technology within complex enterprise settings while identifying insights to enhance and scale the product. You will be instrumental in ensuring customer success and contributing to the evolution of our AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deploy Bretton's AI agents at banks, fintechs, and payments companies, addressing security and compliance needs in regulated sectors.
- Travel onsite to resolve last-mile connectivity challenges and integrate core banking systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate workflows and regulatory requirements into effective AI agent behavior.
- Develop connectors, configuration tools, and internal frameworks to standardize customer solutions.
- Guide customers from initial demonstration through go-live as a technical advisor.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to remove obstacles and ensure customer success.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in live deployments by reproducing problems and working with the engineering team.
- Translate customer usage patterns into product insights for engineering and product teams, identifying opportunities for new features.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong background in backend or data engineering.
- Experience with Python, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., solutions engineer, forward deployed engineer, technical implementation role) is advantageous.
- Active experience building with LLMs and modern AI systems is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to explain AI systems to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working with enterprise customers.
