Braintrust is seeking Platform Support Engineers at both mid and senior levels to join a small, high-ownership team. This role focuses on providing technical front-line support for infrastructure, performance, and reliability for customers who run Braintrust within their own AWS, Azure, and GCP accounts. You will work closely with Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering teams, addressing complex infrastructure challenges for critical customer deployments.
Responsibilities
- Own customer-facing support for hybrid and self-hosted Braintrust deployments.
- Debug infrastructure issues including Kubernetes, Terraform, networking, IAM, TLS, and cloud-provider configurations.
- Diagnose backend performance and reliability issues using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Lead incident response for customer-impacting issues, including triage, communication, and resolution.
- Ship fixes by submitting PRs to backend services, Terraform modules, and deployment tooling.
- Build tooling for diagnostics, health checks, and self-service customer unblocking.
- Write and maintain runbooks and deployment documentation.
- Feed patterns and recurring failure modes back to Engineering and Product teams.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical customer issues.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Support Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering) or backend/infra engineering with customer focus.
- Strong Kubernetes fundamentals for deployment, debugging, and scaling workloads.
- Hands-on Terraform experience.
- Depth in at least one major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred).
- Comfort in a backend codebase (Python, TypeScript, or Go) for bug reproduction and fixing.
- Fluency with observability tooling.
- Clear, calm, and direct communication under pressure.
- Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving.
