Braintrust is seeking Platform Support Engineers at both mid and senior levels to join a small, high-ownership team. This role focuses on providing technical support for customers who deploy Braintrust within their own AWS, Azure, and GCP accounts, often behind their own VPCs and compliance requirements. You will be the technical front line for infrastructure, performance, and reliability issues, working closely with Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering teams. Responsibilities
- Own customer-facing support for hybrid and self-hosted Braintrust deployments.
- Debug infrastructure issues including Kubernetes, Terraform, networking, IAM, and cloud-provider specifics.
- Diagnose backend performance and reliability issues using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Lead incident response for customer-impacting issues, from triage to resolution.
- Ship fixes by submitting PRs to backend services, Terraform modules, and deployment tooling.
- Build tooling to improve support efficiency, such as diagnostics and health checks.
- Write and maintain runbooks and deployment documentation.
- Provide feedback to Engineering and Product teams based on recurring issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical customer issues.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Support Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering) or backend/infra engineering with customer focus.
- Strong Kubernetes fundamentals, including deployment, debugging, and scaling workloads.
- Hands-on Terraform experience.
- Depth in at least one major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred).
- Comfort with backend codebases (Python, TypeScript, or Go) for bug reproduction and fixing.
- Fluency with observability tooling.
- Clear, calm, and direct communication under pressure.
- A strong sense of ownership and problem-solving.
