About the job
Blissway is a startup focused on simplifying toll collection and improving highway safety through deep tech, AI/ML, hardware, SaaS, and IoT. We have established a significant technological lead in the tolling industry, a market projected to double in the next decade. Our lean team operates across the entire system, from roadside cameras to final billing, ensuring every vehicle processed results in an accurate toll transaction. We are seeking an engineer who is passionate about shipping models into production and owning the full lifecycle from raw sensor data to deployment monitoring, cloud to edge. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on taking models from a notebook to real-world application.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire machine learning pipeline from data collection and curation to model training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Develop and deploy models for real-world applications using real hardware and sensor data.
- Process and analyze large volumes of image data (11 million images daily) for tasks including detection, segmentation, classification, embeddings, and re-identification.
- Select and implement appropriate computer vision techniques, ranging from classical algorithms to custom state-of-the-art models.
- Build and optimize models for both cloud and edge deployments, considering performance, size, and power efficiency.
- Collaborate with other teams and contribute to the overall technological advancement of the company.
Requirements
- 2 to 6 years of full-time software engineering experience with a focus on machine learning and/or computer vision.
- Proven end-to-end experience, having taken models from raw data to production and managed them post-shipment.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on machine learning experience, comfortable writing production-quality code and training/debugging models.
- Experience owning models throughout their full lifecycle: training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.
- In-depth experience with modern computer vision techniques and the judgment to apply classical methods when appropriate.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Benefits
- Relocation support
