We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff specializing in Image/Video Generation to join our team. You will be instrumental in training large-scale diffusion models for image and video generation, pushing the boundaries of generative AI. This role involves exploring novel approaches, rigorously testing design choices, and understanding the trade-offs between speed and quality in production settings. You will contribute to shaping our research direction by conducting experiments, analyzing results, and communicating findings to the team. This is an opportunity to work on foundational technologies used by millions of creators worldwide and contribute to the advancement of generative models.
Responsibilities
- Train large-scale diffusion transformer models for image and video data.
- Conduct rigorous ablation studies to isolate variables and understand design choice impacts.
- Analyze speed-quality trade-offs of neural network architectures in production environments.
- Fine-tune diffusion models for specialized applications like upscalers and inpainting/outpainting.
- Debug distributed training issues.
- Present research findings to the team.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience training large-scale diffusion models for image and video data.
- Practical knowledge of common failure modes in model training.
- Experience fine-tuning diffusion models for specialized applications.
- Deep understanding of how to effectively evaluate image and video generative models.
- Strong proficiency in PyTorch and transformer architectures.
- Solid understanding of distributed training techniques (FSDP, low precision training, model parallelism).
- Experience writing forward and backward Triton kernels (preferred).
- Proficiency with profiling, debugging, and optimizing single and multi-GPU operations (preferred).
- Knowledge of performance characteristics of different architectural choices at scale (preferred).
- Published research in generative models (preferred).
