Baseten is seeking a Capacity Strategy & Operations professional to manage the end-to-end capacity planning process. This role involves translating customer commitments and growth forecasts into supply requirements, coordinating fulfillment across various teams and vendors, and building scalable systems. You will be responsible for modeling complex scenarios, making clear recommendations, and driving alignment in a fast-paced hardware market to ensure a predictable and reliable foundation for customers and internal engineering teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both analytical modeling and cross-functional execution, particularly in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the capacity planning process from intake to post-mortem learnings.
- Translate customer commitments, sales pipeline, and growth targets into GPU demand forecasts.
- Partner with Finance to model capacity scenarios and support CapEx decisions.
- Align supply procurement with forward demand, identifying gaps and risks.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve capacity conflicts and honor customer commitments.
- Build and maintain operational cadence for structured capacity planning.
- Develop reporting and dashboards for leadership on capacity health and risks.
- Identify and drive improvements to reduce operational toil and enhance reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, or a similar analytical/execution-oriented role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional processes with competing priorities.
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills, including building demand forecasts and capacity models.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience distilling ambiguous situations for senior leadership.
- High ownership mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
