As a Senior Software Engineer on the RCM Product Team, you will play a crucial role in scaling and maintaining our Insights platform, which empowers practice staff and administrators with tools for efficient practice management. This role involves defining the technical direction of the platform's architecture, enhancing its reliability, scalability, and performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction of the practice management platform, Insights, ensuring it scales to support thousands of practices and millions of users.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions using ReactJS, Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Improve system reliability and observability by implementing best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Optimize performance and scalability of web applications for seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure high availability and resilience of core functions.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Lead and deliver high-impact projects, balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct in-depth code reviews, uphold best practices, and drive architectural improvements.
- Work closely with product and design teams to build intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building scalable full-stack applications.
- Proficiency in full-stack development with expertise in JavaScript (React/Vue), Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong architectural skills with experience designing and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and performant web applications.
- Experience leading multi-month, high-impact projects, balancing trade-offs, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of modern front-end engineering—React fundamentals, performance optimization, state management, and component-driven design.
- Experience working with complex backend systems, including designing APIs and optimizing database performance.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a focus on observability (monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices).
- Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams.
