Asana is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their AI Teammates Experience team. This role will focus on building engaging user experiences that allow customers to effectively collaborate with AI agents capable of performing tasks and working alongside human colleagues. You will develop the interaction and product surfaces for teams, users, and administrators, collaborating with foundation teams on prompting systems, evaluation infrastructure, and agent capabilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about AI and curious about human-agent interaction and prompt engineering.
Responsibilities
- Drive full-stack development of systems and product surfaces for users to guide and work with AI Teammates.
- Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to translate AI capabilities into intuitive product surfaces.
- Contribute to new interaction patterns for AI, including conversational flows, human-in-the-loop workflows, and context-aware experiences.
- Apply product judgment and experimentation to iterate on features and ensure high quality and impact.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working across the stack in large, well-maintained codebases.
- Experience building product features in complex technical domains.
- Experience with applied AI, prompting systems, evaluation/testing infrastructure, or agent-style workflows is a plus.
- Track record of scoping and delivering impactful features with a team.
- Ability to bring structure, judgment, and collaboration to evolving AI/product challenges.
- Enjoy working in a highly cross-functional environment.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Demonstrate curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies.
