Asana's AI Teammates are autonomous agents designed to enhance enterprise workflows by reasoning, acting, and proactively driving work forward. The AI Teammates Platform (AITP) team is responsible for the execution engine and platform layer that ensures these AI Teammates are effective, reliable, and scalable. This involves building core systems for agentic execution, including model evaluation, proactive detection of blocked work, execution quality infrastructure, tool orchestration, and platform APIs that power AI across Asana's engineering efforts. The team focuses on creating a composable foundation rather than a monolithic feature, enabling AI Teammates to reason, act, and autonomously improve.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to building a complex SaaS application that is a market leader.
- Gain exposure to Asana’s core infrastructure, including data representation, storage, and deletion.
- Work with asynchronous jobs and implement algorithms for efficient traversal of the Asana Work Graph.
- Partner with legal to implement data ownership rules with effective technical solutions.
- Drive large, impactful projects and deliver features for large organizations.
- Support other teams and stakeholders working within the team's domain.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working within large, well-maintained codebases.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g., PM, design).
- Sound judgment in balancing speed of development with code quality and maintainability.
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and attention to detail.
- Appreciation for productivity and helping teams collaborate effectively.
- Willingness to learn and leverage AI tools and emerging technologies.
