Arize AI is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join their client-facing team. This role involves working directly with client engineering teams to manage projects and drive technical solutions that extend beyond Arize's core platform. The position requires a blend of deep AI expertise and business acumen to deliver results under tight deadlines while fostering strong client relationships. While the company operates as remote-first, candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay area/PST time zone for this specific role.
Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise AI teams to design, implement, and scale production-grade GenAI observability and evaluation programs.
- Lead technical discussions with customer stakeholders, translating business priorities into scalable technical solutions.
- Build custom integrations, tooling, and workflows to extend the Arize platform for customer-specific needs.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer engagements from scoping through delivery.
- Collaborate with Sales, CS, Product, and Engineering teams to shape implementation strategy and influence product direction.
- Define and scale best practices, technical playbooks, and delivery methodologies for the Forward Deployed Engineering team.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of hands-on software development experience with strong technical foundations.
- Proficiency in at least two of Python, Java, and TypeScript.
- Experience building MLOps pipelines and/or developing, deploying, and iterating on Generative AI applications in production.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and business audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and deliver under demanding timelines.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced startup or consulting environments.
- Genuine passion for AI and staying at the forefront of AI technologies.
