Applied Intuition is seeking a System Designer to bring coherence and structure to complex, multi-surface software experiences across its product portfolio. As part of the design team, you will define interaction frameworks, information architecture, and design systems that enable products to scale consistently across various tools, platforms, and customer use cases. This role involves defining and evolving the foundational design language for a platform-level build system, establishing scalable design system assets across design and code, and defining agent-driven design system patterns to enable AI agents and coding tools to generate product experiences. You will also create code-based standards, reusable skills, and implementation guidance, establish and maintain accessibility standards, and validate the design system across real products and workflows. The role supports a multi-platform ecosystem and requires defining patterns for multiple interaction models, maintaining a high bar for visual design, and creating clear documentation.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the foundational design language for a platform-level build system.
- Build a platform-level design system supporting multiple products and tools.
- Establish scalable design system assets across design and code.
- Define agent-driven design system patterns for AI agents and coding tools.
- Create code-based standards, reusable skills, and implementation guidance.
- Establish and maintain accessibility standards across components, patterns, and platforms.
- Validate the design system across real products and workflows.
- Support a multi-platform ecosystem across web, in-vehicle interfaces, devices, enterprise tools, and emerging surfaces.
- Define patterns for multiple interaction models, including click, touch, voice, and agent-driven interactions.
- Maintain a high bar for visual design, brand, usability, accessibility, and consistency.
- Create clear documentation for designers, engineers, customers, and AI-assisted development workflows.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or design systems work, ideally on complex B2B, technical, or data-heavy software.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or design field.
- Strong experience building and scaling platform-level design systems across multiple products or tools.
- Excellent visual and interaction design skills.
- Strong understanding of design system architecture, accessibility, and inclusive design.
- Experience translating design systems into production code, reusable components, and AI-consumable standards.
- Strong systems thinking and ability to design for complex enterprise ecosystems.
- Experience partnering closely with engineering.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
