Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Stack Tooling team, which builds essential software infrastructure for autonomy verticals. This role focuses on developing systems that help engineering teams test, analyze failures, and deploy autonomous systems faster. You will work on critical aspects of production autonomy rollout, including simulation realism, performance, scale-up, CI/CD pipelines, and data pipelines for rapid decision-making. The position involves executing cross-functional projects that support autonomy developers, systems engineers, and triage teams, with a focus on creating solutions that can scale across multiple autonomy domains like trucking, cars, and offroad vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate common dependencies (simulation artifacts, testing methods, agentic development loops) into a unified ecosystem.
- Integrate with neural rendering tools and the Dana platform to accelerate analysis and improve conclusions.
- Enable safety-critical event analysis and response through realistic log resimulation.
- Enhance hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation testing fidelity to help autonomy engineers identify issues before road deployment.
- Stabilize, generalize, and scale code deployment and offboard vehicle pre-checks to minimize vehicle downtime and maximize testing uptime.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related engineering field.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade code.
- Strong foundational programming experience in C++.
- Experience maintaining critical path developer tooling infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and/or managing resources in customer environments.
