About the job

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the platform that powers the company's AI workloads and enterprise AI platform, Dana. The team operates in a cloud-native and cloud-agnostic environment, utilizing Kubernetes and managing infrastructure as code across the full stack, including compute, networking, storage, and observability. The position involves designing and operating multi-cluster Kubernetes infrastructure, building multi-tenant platform primitives, and orchestrating secure execution environments for agentic workloads. This is a hands-on infrastructure role with significant platform-building and solutions-architecture responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with internal engineering teams and ownership of architectural decisions and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate multi-cluster Kubernetes infrastructure across all cloud providers, ensuring high reliability.
  • Build tenant-safe platform primitives such as storage, shared secrets, RBAC, and workload identity.
  • Design and orchestrate secure, sandboxed execution environments for agentic and untrusted workloads.
  • Act as a solutions architect for internal platform customers, translating their needs into infrastructure designs.
  • Improve developer effectiveness by building tooling to remove friction points.
  • Debug and profile distributed systems, owning production incidents end-to-end, including postmortems and preventative follow-through.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps systems.
  • Experience with container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
  • Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI).
  • Production-quality coding skills in at least one of Go, Python, Rust, or C++, with comfort in learning new languages.
  • Fluency with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field.
