Applied Intuition is seeking passionate Research Scientists to join its Research Group, focused on creating cutting-edge technology for next-generation physical AI, particularly in end-to-end autonomous driving and robotic generalist applications. Researchers will leverage industry-leading tools and extensive data to develop and deploy advanced algorithms into various autonomous and robotic systems, including self-driving vehicles, humanoid robots, and dexterous hands. The role offers opportunities to contribute to top-tier research publications and collaborate with experienced scientists and engineers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on reinforcement learning (RL) topics, including large-scale closed-loop RL and VLA post-training, with applications to robotics and dexterous manipulation.
- Explore fundamental and relevant RL topics with broader applications.
- Collaborate with other Research Scientists and interns on research publications for submission to top-tier conferences.
- Work with Research Engineers and engineering teams to test and deploy algorithms into autonomy and robotics products.
Requirements
- Strong research record in RL and VLA post-training for robotics and autonomous systems, with publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
- MSc or PhD in machine learning and computer vision with autonomy and robotics applications or closely-related fields.
- 1+ year of research experience in autonomy, self-driving, robotics, or a related field.
- Passion for next-generation, scalable autonomy and robotics for real-world systems.
- Strong research skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Technical experience in Python, Pytorch, computer vision, robotics systems, and distributed machine learning model training.
