Applied Intuition is seeking multiple passionate Research Scientists to join its Research Group, focused on creating cutting-edge technology for next-generation physical AI, particularly in end-to-end autonomous driving and robotic generalist applications. Researchers will leverage industry-leading tools and extensive data to develop and deploy methods into various autonomous and robotic systems, including self-driving cars, trucks, mining machines, and humanoid robots. The role offers opportunities to contribute to top-tier research publications, collaborate with experienced scientists and engineers, and immediately impact customer programs and business value within a fast-paced, customer-focused culture. The company is open to candidates with all years of experience, provided they meet the necessary requirements, and supports potential Tech Lead and Manager capacities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on 3D vision topics, including foundation models, multi-modal pretraining, Gaussian splatting, and world models for autonomous driving.
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Collaborate with other researchers and interns on research publications.
- Work with Research Engineers and engineering teams to test and deploy algorithms into autonomy and simulation products.
Requirements
- Strong research record in 3D vision, reconstruction, and generation for autonomous systems and robotics, with publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
- MSc or PhD in machine learning and computer vision with autonomy and robotics applications or closely-related fields.
- 1+ year of research experience in autonomy, self-driving, or related fields.
- Passion for scalable autonomy and robotics for real-world systems.
- Strong research skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Technical experience in Python, PyTorch, computer vision, robotics systems, and distributed machine learning model training.
