Applied Intuition is seeking a Legal Operations Generalist to join their Legal team in Sunnyvale, California. This role serves as the primary point of contact for legal requests, ensuring smooth operations and follow-through. The position requires versatility in handling intake triage, signature coordination, system administration, knowledge management, global entity maintenance, and compliance support. The company is a leader in physical AI, valued at $15 billion, and provides solutions for automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture industries.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central hub for the Legal team, managing the intake system, triaging requests, and ensuring proper routing.
- Identify and implement AI-native approaches to legal operations, driving adoption within the team.
- Manage Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) operations, including automated workflows for NDAs, vendor agreements, and commercial contracts.
- Support the use of AI and MCP capabilities for self-service contract data queries and trend analysis.
- Maintain and organize the Legal team's document repository, creating searchable archives and documenting standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the Legal team's new hire onboarding process and manage key templates, playbooks, and training materials.
- Track and report on legal operations metrics such as request volume, turnaround times, and outside counsel spend.
- Support entity management and corporate filings, coordinating with external vendors and counsel.
- Assist with ESG and regulatory compliance execution, including data gathering, tracking, and reporting.
- Manage outside counsel and vendor relationships, including budget tracking and performance reviews.
- Coordinate and chase signatures for documents, ensuring timely agreement closures.
- Administer the DocuSign environment, managing envelopes, templates, user permissions, and integrations.
- Arrange document notarization, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external services.
- Promote legal processes to cross-functional teams, developing self-service resources and demonstrating efficiency benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Legal Studies, Data Science, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in legal operations, business operations, contracts management, or a similar operational role within a technology company or law firm.
- Hands-on system experience, preferably as a workflow designer or administrator.
- Experience with DocuSign, Ironclad, Jira, and Google Suite is strongly preferred.
- A generalist operational background with experience across systems, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong process-building skills, with the ability to create structure and documentation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills to handle high volume and competing priorities.
- Strong judgment, professional integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Curiosity about AI tools and a drive for finding scalable work methods.
