About the job

The People Intelligence team is responsible for building the internal software that Applied Intuition's leaders rely on to manage the company's growth. This includes developing tools for performance management, team planning, headcount and budget tracking, organizational insights, and enhancing the overall employee experience. The team collaborates closely with leaders and internal departments to deeply understand operational challenges before developing solutions. A significant part of this involves transforming people, financial, and operational data into trustworthy metrics and analyses for leadership decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Own products end-to-end, from problem definition to shipping reliable software using Go services and React/TypeScript frontends on Postgres.
  • Utilize AI coding agents and LLM APIs daily while maintaining high standards for quality through testing, code reviews, safe migrations, and careful deployments.
  • Build data pipelines and integrate with company systems of record like Workday, Slack, and Jira, managing schema migrations with Alembic.
  • Deploy and manage applications on GCP and AWS using services like ECS, RDS, and Terraform, with CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and custom monitoring/alerting.
  • Migrate legacy Python/Flask systems, including their data and APIs, to the modern service platform without disrupting users.
  • Transform people, financial, and operational data into metrics, analyses, and visualizations for leadership decision-making using SQL and Python.
  • Ensure the accuracy and access control of sensitive people and financial data through identity-aware access, code-enforced authorization, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate directly with company leaders and partner teams (People, Finance, IT) to define product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience building software products with a large user base.
  • Experience with a major cloud provider (GCP and/or AWS) and relational databases.
  • Comfort building with AI coding tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience analyzing data, including defining metrics, distinguishing signal from noise, and communicating findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in business and operational problems alongside technical challenges.
  • Communication skills to work directly with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of owning products end-to-end, from ambiguous problems to shipped solutions.
