About the job

Applied Intuition is seeking an Enterprise Security Engineer to lead security operations within their security team. This role is responsible for ensuring the security of systems and data used by a global workforce, implementing adequate security controls to manage organizational risk, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and legal teams to ensure compliance with security requirements. The position involves owning the administration and policy governance of various security platforms, designing and evolving data protection policies, and leading security technology evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, govern policies, and operate endpoint, email, data protection (DLP/DSPM), and SaaS security posture (SSPM) platforms.
  • Design and evolve enterprise DLP policies across endpoints, email, and collaboration platforms, including data classification, encryption, insider risk signals, and privacy-regulation alignment.
  • Lead end-to-end security technology evaluations, defining requirements, running proofs of concept, and driving selection and renewal decisions.
  • Define and enforce security baselines and hardening standards for macOS, Linux, and Windows.
  • Manage vulnerability and patch management for corporate systems, including risk-based prioritization, remediation SLAs, and compliance tracking.
  • Automate repetitive security tasks by building tooling and integrations, including applying AI for triage, classification, and reporting.
  • Lead cross-region handoffs, escalation paths, and shared runbooks, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on enterprise or corporate security engineering experience.
  • Deep experience administering EDR/XDR platforms at scale, including policy and exception governance.
  • Working depth in at least two of: DLP, DSPM, email security, SSPM, SASE/SSE/ZTNA, or vulnerability management.
  • Track record of evaluating, selecting, and deploying enterprise security tooling with measurable outcomes.
  • Record of shipping preventative controls, not just detections and reports.
  • Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, shell) applied to security workflows.
  • Fluent AI user, working with AI tools daily and shipping production automations.
  • Deep experience securing macOS or Linux fleets, with working knowledge across macOS, Linux, and Windows.
  • Strong grasp of emerging enterprise security challenges like shadow IT, AI agents, SaaS-to-SaaS integrations, browser security, and data exfiltration.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy, scope ambiguous problems, and make risk-proportionate decisions.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Base salary
  • Equity (options and/or restricted stock units)
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage
  • 401k retirement benefits with employer match
  • Learning and wellness stipends
  • Paid time off
