Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Autonomy Framework team. This role involves developing core software systems for a cutting-edge framework that enables collaborative autonomy behaviors in multi-domain environments. You will integrate with domain-specific platforms and support multidisciplinary engineering efforts, working on foundational software for autonomous systems operating in complex, real-world scenarios. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with autonomy engineers, domain experts, and product teams to build robust, scalable frameworks for air, ground, and maritime domains.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance C++ systems for collaborative autonomy behaviors.
- Develop software enabling multiple autonomous agents to coordinate across different operational domains.
- Collaborate with autonomy engineers, product managers, and customers to deliver solutions.
- Utilize agentic coding tools and AI assistants to accelerate development and improve code quality.
- Profile, debug, and optimize code for real-time performance in resource-constrained environments.
- Create scripts and tools to improve development velocity and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong C++ programming skills with experience in modern C++ (C++20 or later).
- Experience with Python and shell scripting for automation and tooling.
- Proficiency with agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must hold or be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance.
