Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Claude Evangelist to represent the company within the startup ecosystem. This role focuses on increasing awareness and driving adoption of the Claude Developer Platform among founders and their technical teams. You will be instrumental in engaging the startup developer community, guiding them through onboarding and encouraging active building on Anthropic's platform. This position blends startup ecosystem development with hands-on technical activation, working closely with the Startups Go-To-Market team to convert relationships with VCs, accelerators, and founder communities into active developers.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on developer onboarding at ecosystem events to drive platform adoption.
- Build scalable enablement programs, including workshops and build-a-thons, for VC and accelerator partners.
- Develop a playbook to convert ecosystem touchpoints into measurable developer sign-ups and usage.
- Create high-quality technical content such as tutorials, demo apps, and blog posts showcasing product development with Anthropic's API.
- Develop code demos and prototypes that highlight Claude's capabilities for technical founders.
- Own developer-facing programming at Anthropic's builder summits and startup activations.
- Design and run technical sessions to encourage active building at events.
- Build relationships with key technical communities to increase Anthropic's developer mindshare.
- Represent Anthropic as a trusted technical resource in the startup ecosystem.
- Surface market signals and developer sentiment from the startup ecosystem to internal teams.
- Partner with GTM, Sales, and Marketing on developer-focused activation campaigns.
- Ensure VC and accelerator relationships translate into developer engagement and usage metrics.
- Define and track success metrics for evangelist activities, linking them to business outcomes.
- Create scalable processes and grow the team as the startup ecosystem expands.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in founding/building startups and/or developer-facing roles (developer relations, evangelism, ecosystem development).
- Experience as a technical founder, early startup employee, or operator with a deep understanding of the 0-to-1 product journey.
- Ability to write production-quality code, build compelling demos, and engage credibly with technical co-founders and engineers.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to command a room and deliver energizing technical content.
- Experience building or scaling developer programs, communities, or enablement initiatives that drove measurable adoption.
- Builder credibility earned through shipping products and speaking from experience.
- Willingness to travel regularly and flexibility to support events outside standard business hours.
- Deep enthusiasm for AI with hands-on experience building with LLMs and a commitment to responsible AI development.
