Anthropic's Detection and Response (D&R) team is responsible for identifying and responding to threats against their AI systems. As a member of this early-stage team, you will play a crucial role in building detection and response capabilities from the ground up. This involves working closely with security and research teams to safeguard Anthropic's technology stack against a variety of threats, including external attacks and insider threats. You will have the opportunity to develop and deploy innovative tooling, potentially leveraging large language models, to enhance threat detection and response processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead incident response across various domains and technology stack layers.
- Build and deploy tooling, including LLM-based tools, for threat detection and response.
- Create and tune detections, playbooks, and workflows for rapid incident handling.
- Review and improve incident response metrics and procedures.
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Experience handling security incidents and investigating anomalies.
- Working knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or similar security tooling.
- Solid understanding of cloud environments and operations.
- Experience working with engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
- Proficiency in a scripting language like Python and query languages like SQL.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead projects with minimal guidance.
- Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
