About the job
Anthropic's RL Data Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining the systems that generate, process, and serve the human data used to train Claude. This involves creating interfaces for human feedback, developing pipelines to transform raw feedback into training signals, and providing tooling for researchers to manage data collection. The role is full-stack and requires ownership of projects from conception to production, focusing on reliability and user experience for both annotators and researchers. You will design and implement web interfaces, backend services, and data pipelines, working closely with researchers to understand and fulfill their data needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate feedback and data collection interfaces for annotators, experts, and researchers.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and pipelines for routing model samples and returning structured feedback.
- Ensure the reliability, latency, and usability of continuously running systems.
- Partner with RL researchers to translate data needs into collection campaigns and tooling.
- Develop dashboards, monitoring, and inspection tools for data quality and throughput.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the data collection and training pipeline.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with production experience in TypeScript/React (frontend) and Python (backend).
- Experience designing and operating backend services and data pipelines.
- Proven track record of owning projects end-to-end from brief to production.
- Comfort working with technical stakeholders and managing changing needs.
- Effective use of AI tools in daily work.
- Commitment to the societal impacts of AI work.
Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $500,000 - $850,000 USD
