About the job
As an Applied AI team member, you will serve as a Pre-Sales architect, becoming a trusted technical advisor to large enterprises across India and the Asia-Pacific region. Your role involves helping these organizations understand the value of Claude and envision how to integrate and deploy it into their technology stacks. You will combine deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to architect innovative LLM solutions that address complex business challenges, all while upholding high standards for safety and reliability. Working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you will guide customers from initial technical discovery through successful deployment, leveraging your expertise to help them understand Claude's capabilities, develop evaluations, and design scalable architectures.
Responsibilities
- Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers throughout their Claude adoption journey.
- Support customers building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work.
- Create and deliver compelling technical content tailored to diverse audiences, from technical deep dives to business value conversations.
- Guide technical architecture decisions and assist customers in integrating Claude into their existing technology stack.
- Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases.
- Identify common integration patterns and contribute insights to Product and Engineering teams.
- Travel occasionally within India and the APAC region to customer sites for workshops and technical deep dives.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the latest developments in LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.
- Collaborate across time zones with global teams as the technical expert for the India market.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager).
- Experience working with enterprise customers in India or the APAC region, navigating complex buying cycles.
- Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders (C-suite, engineering, IT).
- Strong technical communication skills, translating customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems.
- Comfortable with Python.
- Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science.
- Excitement for cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities.
- A passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex topics clearly.
- Passion for thinking creatively about safe and beneficial technology use, furthering the goal of advancing safe AI systems.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones as part of a global team.
