As our models grow more capable, so does the interest of those who wish to attack or misuse them. The Detection and Response (D&R) team is responsible for spotting these threats and responding to incidents across Anthropic's entire technology stack. As an early-stage team, you will play a crucial role in building our detection and response capabilities from the ground up, working closely with our security and research teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead incident response for a variety of threats, including external attacks and insider threats, across all layers of Anthropic's technology stack.
- Develop and deploy tools, including those leveraging large language models, to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
- Create and refine detection mechanisms, playbooks, and workflows for rapid incident identification and response.
- Analyze incident response metrics and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with security and engineering teams.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Experience in handling security incidents and investigating anomalies as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or similar security tooling.
- Solid understanding of cloud environments and operations.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
- Proficiency in a scripting language like Python and query languages such as SQL.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead projects with minimal guidance.
- Capacity to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
