Anthropic's Finance Systems team is responsible for the infrastructure that supports financial operations and drives initiatives to scale the Finance function. As financial operations become more complex, the team is moving beyond configuring existing platforms to building production-grade financial applications. This role will own the end-to-end architecture of the treasury technology platform and data foundation, ensuring robust design and build-vs-buy decisions. It will also focus on automating Treasury's daily and monthly operating processes through Claude-powered workflows and integrating treasury technology with the broader Finance data lake, ERP, and vendor systems.
Responsibilities
- Define the target-state architecture for treasury technology, including data foundation, applications, and connectivity.
- Design the treasury data foundation as the single source of truth for banking, cash, payments, and investment data.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of treasury management systems (TMS) or internal build options.
- Develop and manage a multi-year roadmap for treasury technology implementation.
- Own the product roadmap for key treasury processes such as cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and payment workflows.
- Design and implement Claude-powered agents and dashboards to automate manual treasury tasks.
- Partner with Treasury operators to translate operational needs into product specifications and drive delivery.
- Ensure all delivered systems are auditable, controlled, and recoverable, meeting SOX compliance requirements.
- Align treasury data models and governance with the broader Finance data lake strategy.
- Map and manage integration points across banks, TMS, ERP, and internal finance systems.
- Drive the technology agenda with banking partners and TMS vendors.
- Partner internally with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, and Data Engineering.
- Set direction for and manage finance systems engineers, and review technical designs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or systems leadership in finance, treasury, or fintech.
- Deep treasury domain knowledge, including cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, bank connectivity, cash pooling structures, or payment workflows.
- Experience owning architecture and platform decisions for internal finance or data platforms across multiple systems and vendors.
- Proven track record of shipping internal platforms or finance systems with an engineering team.
- Experience leading complex system design and infrastructure programs.
- Experience leading a system implementation (TMS, ERP module, or similar) or a material internal build from design through go-live.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Treasury, Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit, and external vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and present to executives.
- Ability to thrive in environments where the roadmap, systems, and team are being built concurrently.
