Anthropic's security department is seeking a compliance professional to join their team. This role will focus on understanding and influencing security and AI safety expectations from regulators, customers, and industry norms. You will translate these expectations into actionable priorities for internal teams and assure external parties of Anthropic's security program through certifications and direct inquiry responses. This is a unique opportunity to build a novel compliance program for AI safety, securing cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Understand and implement common security and privacy frameworks (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.) across major cloud platforms.
- Develop scalable data center and hyperscaler processes and documentation for future expansion.
- Assess and mitigate security and operational risks, manage vendor compliance, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with independent assessors for security and privacy certifications and attestations.
- Create and update policies for security, privacy, and AI safety requirements.
- Maintain and enhance security controls through audit readiness, recordkeeping, and cross-functional communication.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in audit and compliance, with direct ownership of certification/attestation or security compliance implementation projects.
- Experience in cloud-native environments with an understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid architecture security and privacy.
- Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into actionable workstreams for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience integrating with common controls frameworks or GRC systems.
- Proficiency in writing clear security and privacy documentation for external and internal audiences.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and build processes from scratch.
- Comfort organizing and managing delegated workstreams across a diverse organization.
- Subject matter expertise in educating the organization on compliance requirements and auditors on security practices.
Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $270,000 - $345,000 USD
