Corporate Security at Anthropic is responsible for protecting the company's work environment, including devices, identities, collaboration tools, and company data. This team ensures secure access to company systems, manages device security, and right-sizes access levels while prioritizing user experience. The role involves treating security controls as code and leveraging automation to scale with the company's growth. As a Security Engineer, you will drive significant parts of this work end-to-end, setting technical direction, developing shipped tooling, and solving complex problems. This includes threat modeling, implementing solutions, and providing evidence to shape team priorities. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role.
Responsibilities
- Drive endpoint hardening across macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS, favoring versioned, reviewable, and repeatable controls.
- Extend device-trust and zero-trust access controls, treating employee experience as a design constraint.
- Build automation and integrations for scaling team operations, including joiner/mover/leaver processes and exception workflows.
- Lead SaaS and identity governance, including third-party OAuth grants and software security reviews.
- Partner with Security, IT, and Engineering on telemetry, detections, and shared standards, especially for AI agent security.
- Develop LLM-assisted security tooling to enhance team coverage.
Requirements
- Hands-on endpoint security engineering on macOS, Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS.
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages for building integrations, automation, and tooling.
- Working depth in identity and access management, SaaS security, and zero-trust access.
- Threat-modeling judgment to identify and scope problems effectively.
