Anthropic is building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems to be safe and beneficial for users and society. As a Product Manager for Business Technology, you will own internal products that shape how Anthropic works with Claude. You will embed with internal customer teams to understand their workflows, identify areas where Claude can reduce friction, and deliver software and automation to improve outcomes. This role demands strong product judgment, technical system familiarity, and the ability to translate complex internal needs into clear priorities, focusing on adoption and measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for Claude-powered internal products and automation across various customer functions.
- Manage intake and prioritization to ensure high-impact problems are addressed first.
- Write clear problem statements and requirements for engineering teams.
- Ship iteratively, gather user feedback, and continuously improve products post-launch.
- Co-develop adoption roadmaps with internal teams and ensure accountability.
- Define success metrics and report on adoption and business impact regularly.
- Manage change management as part of the product, including rollout, training, and support.
- Evaluate and rework or discontinue products that are not delivering value.
- Build trusted relationships with functional leaders and translate their needs into product priorities.
- Partner with IT, IT Engineering, and Security on access, data handling, and governance for internal Claude usage.
- Coordinate with Legal and Finance on product-specific requirements.
- Communicate plans, progress, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
- Understand the integration of Claude, internal systems, and other systems to make sound scoping decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering on architecture choices for maintainable and secure internal products.
- Stay updated on Claude capabilities and introduce them to internal teams where appropriate.
Requirements
- Deep product management experience, including ownership of internal team-used products.
- Proven track record of shipping products that measurably changed team or function workflows.
- Experience partnering with engineering, IT, and security teams on technical products.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining tradeoffs to executives and requirements to engineers.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and prioritizing competing requests.
