As a Product Manager for the Research team, you will be responsible for the ideation and deployment of new models and products, working closely with research teams to productize applied research and identify customer-driven use cases. We are looking for individuals passionate about developing safe and beneficial AI technologies, who thrive in ambiguous environments and can uncover non-obvious use cases for nascent technologies, connecting advanced technology to products that deliver real-world value. The ideal candidate will bridge research and ambitious product experimentation, with the ability to create and grow new product categories enabled by AI.
Responsibilities
- Lead vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of frontier technologies leveraging AI capabilities to solve real-world problems.
- Partner with research to define, improve, and ship model capabilities.
- Identify nascent research with the potential to become transformative products.
- Synthesize user insights into actionable requirements and evaluations.
- Understand the AI landscape and ecosystem to assess market capabilities and our position.
- Work with and influence diverse stakeholders, including research, product engineering, and platform engineering teams.
Requirements
- Deep passion and curiosity for AI and LLMs; use AI regularly.
- 5+ years in product management, with experience launching and scaling products (founder background is a plus).
- First-principles thinker capable of navigating ambiguity and finding simple solutions.
- Deep technical background with a strong grasp of AI/ML concepts; willing to go deep on technical solutions.
- Data-driven mindset with working proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong user empathy and ability to synthesize feedback into actionable priorities.
- Track record of launching ambitious products with commercial success.
- Intellectual curiosity without ego; comfortable asking questions and learning independently.
- Creative thinker about risks and benefits of new technologies.
- Creative, hacker spirit and enjoyment of solving puzzles.
Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $305,000 - $385,000 USD
