As a member of the Applied AI team, you will drive the adoption of frontier AI by developing bespoke LLM solutions for top enterprises across Japan. You'll leverage your customer-facing experience and technical skills to architect innovative solutions that address our customers' business needs, meet their technical requirements, and provide a high degree of reliability and safety. In collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you'll help enterprise partners incorporate leading-edge AI systems into their products. You will employ excellent communication skills to explain and demonstrate complex solutions persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences alike. You will play a critical role in identifying opportunities to innovate and differentiate our AI systems, while maintaining our best-in-class safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical advisor for prospective customers across Japan evaluating Claude, demonstrating how it can solve high-value business problems through system architectures and novel prompting techniques.
- Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements, configuring Claude's capabilities and developing customized pilots, prototypes, and evaluation suites to drive adoption.
- Drive technical decision-making by advising on optimal setup, architecture, and integration of Claude into customer infrastructure.
- Recommend solutions to technical roadblocks.
- Support customer onboarding across Japan, ensuring successful ramp and adoption through cross-functional collaboration, and serving as an ongoing technical advisor.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, implementation support, and relationship building.
- Establish a shared vision for creating solutions that enable beneficial and safe AI.
- Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of innovative solutions leveraging the latest model capabilities across Japan.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Platform Engineer.
- Native-level Japanese fluency and business-level English.
- Experience designing novel and innovative solutions for technical platforms in developing business areas.
- Strong technical aptitude to partner with engineers.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Recent experience building production systems with large language models.
- Ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity, flexing into different domains and finding simple solutions.
- Excitement for cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex topics clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for thinking creatively about safe and beneficial technology use to advance safe AI systems.
