The goal is to produce public outputs, such as paper submissions. Fellows will primarily utilize external infrastructure like open-source models and public APIs. Responsibilities
- Design and conduct empirical research on AI's economic effects using external data sources.
- Develop new methodological approaches for AI research.
- Work on projects related to AI policy, security, and societal impacts.
- Produce public outputs, such as paper submissions, from research projects.
Requirements
- Fluent in Python programming.
- Available to work full-time on the Fellows program.
- Strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics.
- Motivated by making AI safe and beneficial for society.
- Excited to transition into empirical AI research and potentially pursue a full-time role at Anthropic.
- Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Ability to implement ideas quickly and communicate clearly.
- Strong background in a discipline relevant to a specific Fellows workstream (e.g., economics, social sciences, cybersecurity).
- Experience in areas of research or engineering related to their workstream.
