About the job

Anthropic's Safeguards team is responsible for enforcing policies, protecting users, and ensuring the platform is not misused. A significant portion of Claude's usage is through cloud partners like Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud's Agent Platform, and Microsoft Foundry. As the Enforcement Operations Lead for Multi-Cloud, you will own the process of detecting, reviewing, and acting on misuse across these platforms, where partners manage customer relationships and data. You will establish the operating model, partner agreements, and documentation to ensure consistent, auditable, and rapid enforcement across all cloud environments. This role requires a detail-oriented individual comfortable with ambiguity and capable of coordinating across teams and companies to drive complex initiatives to completion. It is a deeply cross-functional role, involving close collaboration with product managers, policy experts, Safeguards engineering, Legal, and trust & safety and operations teams at our cloud partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end enforcement lifecycle on partner surfaces, including detection, review, action, customer communication, and appeals.
  • Define enforcement paths for each partner's operating model, specifying how actions are requested, executed, and confirmed when the partner controls the account.
  • Manage and continuously evaluate performance against SLAs for review, escalation, and action.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and escalation guides for all enforcement workflows to ensure consistency across clouds.
  • Establish red-teaming, quality processes, and operationalize shared metrics.
  • Conduct paired investigations with partner threat intelligence teams, including case referrals, indicator sharing, and handling high-severity incidents.
  • Oversee enforcement metrics across partner surfaces and report them to Safeguards leadership, partners, and regulators.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in trust and safety operations, enforcement, threat intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing external partner or vendor relationships where you did not control the other party's systems or priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across policy, legal, engineering, and operations teams to translate requirements into practical workflows.
  • Experience building enforcement programs from the ground up, including defining SLAs, escalation paths, and quality measurement.
  • Highly organized with a track record of maintaining rigorous documentation and SOPs in fast-paced environments.
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences, including partner executives.
  • Enthusiasm for building scalable systems in ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • A strong commitment to the responsible deployment of AI and the role of enforcement operations in achieving this mission.

Benefits

  • Annual compensation range: $285,000 - $330,000 USD
