Anthropic is seeking a Developer Relations Manager for its Claude Platform. This pivotal role will lead the team responsible for how developers discover, onboard, build, and scale applications using the Claude Platform. The goal is to grow the developer ecosystem, gather feedback for product development, and ensure responsible platform usage. The successful candidate will set the vision and strategy for engaging the developer community, directly influencing Anthropic's growth and market position while promoting safe and positive AI outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute the strategy for developer discovery and integration growth on the Claude Platform.
- Develop and implement content strategy to educate developers on building high-quality integrations.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to incorporate developer feedback into the roadmap.
- Prioritize initiatives based on data, feedback, and developer needs.
- Pioneer the definition of world-class developer relations in the AI field.
- Recruit, inspire, and scale a high-impact global developer relations team.
- Foster a collaborative culture aligned with Anthropic's values and drive innovation in developer engagement.
- Create and implement scalable processes for team and ecosystem expansion.
- Establish clear growth paths and development opportunities for team members.
- Act as an advocate for developer needs, translating feedback into strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Research to create accessible educational resources from AI capabilities.
- Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify developer success stories.
- Ensure adoption of responsible AI best practices by developers.
Requirements
- Experience building and leading developer relations, developer experience, or technical product teams with a proven track record of growing developer ecosystems.
- Technical credibility with an understanding of AI/ML and API concepts, capable of translating complex technical ideas for diverse audiences.
- Hands-on technical abilities, including creating code demos, critically reviewing developer content, and providing specific technical feedback.
- Insight into developer psychology and behavior, with knowledge of effective developer outreach and adoption strategies.
- Passion for AI's potential and commitment to responsible AI development and safety.
- Collaborative leadership skills with the ability to influence across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience scaling teams in high-growth environments and adapting to evolving priorities.
