As Developer Relations at Anthropic, you will be instrumental in guiding developers through the discovery, onboarding, and effective utilization of Claude Code, Claude Tag, and other future developer products. This role is key to fostering developer adoption of Claude-powered offerings, expanding our developer ecosystem, collecting vital feedback for product enhancement, and ensuring responsible, safe, and secure product usage. You will serve as a hands-on technical advocate for Anthropic's developer community, engaging with partners, customers, and independent developers. Your contributions will directly influence how developers interact with and adopt Claude, introducing them to new workflows and channeling their feedback back to product and research teams. Building robust relationships between our developer community and internal teams is crucial to advancing our mission of creating reliable, interpretable AI that aligns with human intent.
Responsibilities
- Shape developer discovery and engagement with Anthropic's developer products (Claude Code, Claude Tag) based on hands-on experience and user feedback.
- Develop frameworks for measuring developer success aligned with business objectives and AI safety.
- Prioritize community and content initiatives using data, developer feedback, and business needs.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure developer needs influence the product roadmap.
- Define and exemplify world-class AI developer relations practices.
- Create exemplary technical content, code samples, and engagement strategies.
- Contribute to and refine processes and best practices for the DevRel function.
- Understand and cater to the diverse needs of developers across different segments.
- Partner with Go-To-Market, Sales, and Marketing teams to support developer adoption campaigns.
- Lead and participate in developer events, workshops, and community activities.
- Generate high-quality technical content such as sample apps, tutorials, documentation, and integration guides.
- Act as an advocate for developer needs within Anthropic, translating feedback into product and content initiatives.
- Collaborate with Research to create accessible educational resources from AI capabilities.
- Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify developer success stories.
- Promote best practices for responsible AI use among developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product/engineering roles, with a proven track record of shipping content or tools that grew a developer ecosystem.
- Technical credibility with a deep understanding of AI/ML and API concepts, capable of translating complex technical ideas for diverse audiences.
- Hands-on technical ability, including writing production-quality code demos, critically reviewing developer samples, and providing specific technical feedback.
- Insight into developer psychology and behavior, with knowledge of effective channels, building product affinity, and designing content for adoption.
- Passion for AI's potential and commitment to responsible AI development, with an interest in AI safety and ethics.
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to influence across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience thriving in high-growth environments and adapting to evolving priorities.
