About the job
As an Applied AI Engineer on our Enterprise team, you will guide major German businesses in adopting cutting-edge AI, specifically deploying Claude into their operations and products. You will serve as the primary Claude Platform specialist and trusted technical advisor, assisting customer engineering teams with architecture, agent design, and evaluation. Simultaneously, you will engage with C-level executives to demonstrate Claude's business value and facilitate confident adoption decisions. This role requires navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles, connecting technical work to boardroom-level outcomes, and presenting compelling value cases to CIOs and CTOs. Fluency in German is essential for daily interactions with German executives and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Enterprise Account Executives and Applied AI Architects to guide enterprise customers through the entire sales and adoption process.
- Lead the technical aspects of opportunities, serving as the customer's ongoing technical advisor on Claude.
- Prepare customers and their integration partners for successful deployment by defining target architectures and success metrics.
- Advise enterprise customers on integrating Claude into their operations, products, and workflows.
- Educate customer engineering teams on building with Claude, covering architecture, agent design, and evaluation.
- Develop and present business value cases for Claude to C-level executives, linking technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder procurement and adoption cycles, including technical evaluations and proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with Account Executives on account strategy and executive engagement.
- Conduct executive briefings, technical workshops, and enablement sessions for diverse audiences.
- Address enterprise requirements related to security, compliance, data residency, and governance.
- Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on insights from enterprise engagements.
- Travel to customer sites in Germany for meetings, workshops, and relationship building.
Requirements
- Native or fluent German, written and spoken.
- 6+ years of experience in roles such as Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
- Experience in a pre-sales or technical advisory role engaging with large enterprises, preferably in the German market.
- Proven ability in value-based selling, including building and quantifying business cases for senior decision-makers.
- Comfortable presenting to and building relationships with C-level and VP-level stakeholders.
- Experience owning the technical win in enterprise deals, including evaluations and technical due diligence.
- Production experience with LLM-powered applications, including prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, and deployment.
- Hands-on engineering background with experience building and deploying production applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and architecture requirements.
- Experience working through enterprise security, compliance, and architecture requirements with customer teams.
