As an Applied AI Engineer on our Enterprise team, you will guide large UK businesses in deploying Claude into their operations and products. You will serve as the primary Claude Platform specialist and trusted technical advisor, assisting customer engineering teams with architecture, agent design, and evaluation. You will also work with C-level executives to demonstrate Claude's business value and facilitate decisions to build on the platform. Enterprise engagements involve longer procurement cycles and multiple stakeholders, requiring you to connect technical work with boardroom-level outcomes. You will be comfortable advising on technical aspects as well as presenting value cases to CIOs/CTOs, maintaining a technical focus throughout multi-quarter engagements.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Enterprise Account Executives and Applied AI Architects to guide UK enterprise customers through evaluation, proof of value, and procurement.
- Lead the technical aspects of opportunities and serve as the ongoing technical advisor on Claude during customer deployment.
- Set up customers and their integration partners for success by agreeing on target architectures, defining success metrics, and advising the delivery team.
- Assist customer engineering teams with building on Claude, covering architecture, agent design, and evaluation.
- Build and present business value cases for Claude to C-level and senior executives, linking technical capabilities to measurable outcomes.
- Guide customers through complex, multi-stakeholder procurement processes, including security, compliance, data residency, and governance reviews.
- Provide feedback from enterprise engagements to Product, Engineering, and the Applied AI team, and travel to customer sites across the UK.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
- Pre-sales or technical advisory experience selling into large enterprises, ideally in the UK, including owning the technical win.
- Experience with value-based selling and presenting business cases to C-level and VP-level stakeholders.
- Production experience with LLM-powered applications, including prompting, context engineering, agent architectures, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and architecture requirements, ideally in regulated sectors.
- Ability to explain complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
