About the job
Anthropic's Applied AI team assists major organizations in leveraging Claude for their operations. As a Cybersecurity Specialist on this team, you will be part of a specialized group of experts embedded with enterprise account teams. Your role will be to provide deep security expertise to critical accounts, helping CISOs and security leaders understand how Claude can address real security challenges. You will guide these organizations from initial pilots to full-scale production workloads, focusing on regulated industries, strategic accounts with sensitive IP, and public sector agencies, each presenting unique threat models.
Responsibilities
- Partner with account teams to assess customer security programs, identify opportunities for Claude in security work, and develop technical plans and business cases.
- Act as the security domain technical advisor for strategic enterprise accounts throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Transition customers from basic code scanning to advanced security operations, including application security in the SDLC, automated penetration testing, alert triage, and vulnerability management.
- Develop and maintain reusable reference implementations, harnesses, and evaluation methodologies, assisting customers in adapting them to their environments.
- Conduct workshops and hands-on sessions for customer security teams to utilize Claude on their own code and workflows.
- Enable partners to deliver Claude-powered security solutions, clarifying responsibilities between Anthropic and partner deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from engineers to executives, articulating the business value and risks associated with security initiatives.
- Define and monitor the adoption of security workloads within accounts, collaborating with Product and Engineering on relevant telemetry.
- Create reusable playbooks and best practices for the field, detailing how Claude integrates with existing customer security tools.
- Cultivate reference customers who can attest to the value derived from Claude's security applications.
- Stay informed about the latest LLM capabilities and emerging security vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Travel to customer sites for workshops and technical discussions as needed.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in security roles with hands-on expertise in at least two of the following areas: application security/secure SDLC, offensive security/penetration testing, detection and response, or threat intelligence/vulnerability management.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, security consultant, TAM) or a security team that required securing executive buy-in.
- Experience with large enterprise customers and complex sales cycles, including collaboration with existing vendors and partners.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to security teams, engineering teams, and executives.
- Proficiency in Python, CI/CD, and cloud environments, with practical experience using LLMs for security tasks like code review, vulnerability discovery, or incident triage.
- A passion for teaching and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work and managing competing priorities.
