Anthropic is seeking an AI Fluency Education Lead to create courses and content that teach people how AI works and how to work well with AI. This role focuses on developing durable mindsets and understandings that help individuals use AI effectively and safely, regardless of the specific system they are using. The position involves significant creation of written, filmed, and prototyped content, as well as building systems to scale this work and reach diverse audiences. You will design a modular library of resources and AI-assisted pipelines to personalize learning experiences. Collaboration with other teams will be crucial for audience selection, topic prioritization, and format innovation, aiming to move beyond traditional online course structures.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end curriculum for general-public AI fluency, including roadmap, sequencing, quality, and content selection.
- Curate and create AI fluency materials such as curricula, courses, videos, essays, and interactive lessons.
- Build AI-assisted production pipelines to accelerate content creation while maintaining high quality.
- Translate research frameworks into educational material for diverse non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with external institutions like educators, public-sector organizations, and community groups.
- Prototype novel learning formats that leverage AI for personalized paths, conversational practice, and adaptive assessment.
- Define and measure learning outcomes beyond completion, focusing on comprehension and behavioral change.
Requirements
- Deep experience designing content and curricula for adult learners at scale, with a focus on effective learning strategies.
- Exceptional writing skills for general audiences, with the ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive mental models.
- Experience creating multimedia learning content end-to-end, including scripts and video, and managing external partners.
- Practical experience using LLMs like Claude as production infrastructure.
- Sufficient technical comfort to build light tooling and automations.
- Strong pedagogical opinions backed by experience, with a willingness to adapt based on data.
- Satisfaction in enabling others to teach and disseminate educational material.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes.
- Proven ability to make people fluent in a subject at scale, even without a background in AI or education.
