We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Battlespace Awareness team, specializing in complex, real-world problems through cutting-edge algorithms and intelligent software integrations. This role involves providing software engineering and development support for core team tools and, for candidates with an ML background, helping to establish new ML infrastructure to optimize system parameters and detect performance regressions.
Responsibilities
- Provide software engineering and development support for core team tools.
- Help stand up new ML infrastructure for optimizing system parameters.
- Assist in detecting performance regressions in CI.
- Develop and integrate cutting-edge algorithms and intelligent software.
- Contribute to multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning.
Requirements
- Professional experience in Python, Rust, C++, or C.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals (OOP, functional programming, REST API design).
- Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
- Experience with software testing (Robot Framework, integration tests).
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex).
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Machine learning background in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, or explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
