We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Battlespace Awareness team, specializing in complex real-world problems through cutting-edge algorithms and intelligent software integrations. This role involves providing software engineering and development support for core team tools and, for candidates with an ML background, helping to establish new ML infrastructure to optimize system parameters and detect performance regressions. Our work directly impacts mission-critical applications, and we measure success by the real-world impact of our deployed solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide software engineering and development support for core team tools.
- Develop and maintain ML infrastructure for system parameter optimization and performance regression detection.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of algorithms for multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning.
- Write and test low-latency or real-time software.
- Integrate AI coding assistants into the daily workflow.
- Utilize GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for development and deployment.
Requirements
- Professional experience in Python, Rust, C++, or C.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including OOP, functional programming, and REST API design.
- Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
- Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework and integration tests.
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex).
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Machine learning background in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, or explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
