Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. The CorpTech Platform team, specifically the Mission Control group, is responsible for quality assurance, release management, and incident management across the systems that power Anduril's factories. This role will be a senior technical anchor, building automated system integration tests to ensure the quality of product lines as they move through various enterprise systems. The goal is to create a robust testing framework that simulates production environments and empowers engineers and operators to verify quality themselves, leveraging AI to enhance test authoring, maintenance, and triage.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own automated system integration tests for end-to-end product lines across multiple systems.
- Simulate production workload and data for product lines to ensure test accuracy and build mechanisms to detect simulation drift.
- Leverage AI to improve test authoring, maintenance, and triage, enabling others to ensure quality.
- Analyze distributed architectures and trace failures across service, network, and vendor boundaries.
- Define test strategy, release readiness criteria, and quality gates for release trains.
- Build observability, instrumentation, and environment strategies for clear, actionable signals from tests and incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business partners to integrate quality upstream into design and acceptance criteria.
- Contribute code, infrastructure, and tooling to enhance developer feedback loops, test reliability, and production stability.
- Support launch readiness, production issue response, root cause analysis, and post-incident follow-through.
- Set technical standards for testing craft through review, pairing, and example.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, SDET, SRE, QE, or infrastructure engineering in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience building and operating automated integration or end-to-end test suites for production systems, including environment, test data, and CI execution ownership.
- Strong technical understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud/platform infrastructure.
- Experience reasoning about cross-system failures, with strong debugging, root cause analysis, and incident response skills.
- Experience with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, or agentic systems, including awareness of their quality and reliability challenges.
- Ability to balance hands-on implementation with systems-level quality strategy, using sound judgment for rigor versus speed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders on quality and reliability trade-offs.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- U.S. Person status required for access to export-controlled information.
