We are seeking a Rust Software Engineer to join the Air Dominance & Strike team, which develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems. This role involves contributing to cutting-edge autonomy software for systems like Fury and Barracuda, enabling collaboration across various missions. You will work closely with specialist teams to solve complex challenges in computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop aerial and multi-domain robotic systems.
- Contribute to the Lattice for Mission Autonomy software platform.
- Collaborate with specialist teams (Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, Test Engineering).
- Develop autonomy software including computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.
- Build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments.
- Develop and test multi-agent autonomous systems.
- Develop software/hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality.
- Work with distributed communication networks and message standards.
Requirements
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
- 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
- Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and codebases.
- Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact.
